Savers Plus - a shorter savings strategy
Welcome to the Plus Savers page! Below are savings plans that provide a strategy for 2 (or more) people to save together for a common goal. With multiple payees contributing from 6 to 7.5 SOUPZ months, with a weekly deposit range from $45 to $72. You get what you need faster with less effort. In simpler terms, between 24 and 30 weeks, you collectively harvest a sizable nest egg that will best be split up between multiple payees! You may be a husband/wife team, 4 college friends who want to save for a summer event, or 2 siblings, or your significant other. Allow SOUPZ to help you reach your goal quickly and efficiently with friends! Come together and SAVE! Take the plunge and..Explore!
As with all $aving plans in SOUPZ, you can elect to have 100% of your TFS (travel funds saved) allotted in travel credits. 60% is the standard allotment. SOUPZ is normally designed with a 60/40 split. If your round-trip airline tickets and hotel accommodations are covered, any funds left over, up to $50 in the 60% may be redirected to V-pay. The number of Payees "set" can't be modified after plan initiation.

Shorter term saving strategies
These plans below are for friends/family, collectively setting aside $45 to $72 per week for a few months. They also provide a decisive strategy when your vacation plans may be a little over 6 months away. If you desire to save on your own, perhaps this approach is not for you. Check out the other plans we offer in the CORE. Our goal at SOUPZ is to provide a relevant opportunity conducive to all who desire to save for a vacation within their means . Find your plan and engage!
(Cancellations and Terminations incur fees of 10%, and $2 CF).
All Members are eligible to initiate the EWO upon completing the MDR (explained below).
Terms/Conditions
1. Plus Savers are part of the secondary division where transitory savings plans differ in amounts per week, durations and fees.
They are not Sweepstakes eligible. There are no suspensions, no daily credit benefits, and their terms/fees differ from the "Core" division. These plans allow a maximum of 4 payees, but work best with 2 people. There is an MDR, however. It must be met by half the duration of any plan you choose.
There is a Travel Itinerary requirement (TIR). The majority of the 60% split must used to purchase vouchers towards these items: airline tickets (roundtrip) and/or hotel accommodations, etc. Restaurant vouchers of $100 may also be chosen.
Each Plus plan allots only 40% of TFS as V-Pay divided among the payees. The remaining 60% is disbursed in travel credits. Any funds left over at $50 or below on completed plans that meet the TIR (travel itinerary requirement) may be added to V-Pay.
2. As a Plus Saver, you reserve the 1st weekly amount to start each respective plan, so there is no STR (short-term requirement). You deposit the same amount weekly till completion.
3. There is an MDR, however. It must be completed by the midpoint of each respective plan period. You receive notice 1 week before the final week of the MDR. If there is no resolution to completion 7 days after that, your account terminates (AT). All Plus/Prime plans are assessed @ 1.5% + $5 CF (mandatory).
Upon AT or cancellation, only 40% of your TFS will be refunded as V-Pay. You select which travel vouchers you desire to cover the 60% in travel credits. If $20 (or below) is left over in travel credits upon cancellation/termination, that amount will default to the SOUPZ fee account. All terms & conditions must be agreed upon before any plan initiation.

*EXAMPLES*
Scenario 1: A husband/wife team chooses the Cheetah plan, but has only saved $764 by the end of week 11. They receive a SOUPZ email on day 63 as week 12 starts, stating they have 7 days to deposit $100 or risk PT (plan termination). They are allowed 4 deposits that week, where they can complete the MDR by depositing $25 per. But they defer to the CAT option (cost - $4 / explained below) and are relegated to the "Jaguar Plan". This gives them 2 weeks to deposit $42, which causes them to have to wait 2 weeks after their original withdraw date to receive. They saved $20 each in those last 14 weeks and added $560 to their TFS.
Details;
$764 + $560 = $1324 TFS. -$19.86 (1.5 W/D fee) -$5 CF (check fee) = $24.86. A vacation package including $729.48 in travel credits as airline tickets & hotel accommodations, plus $569 in a V-pay check ($519.66 + $50 travel credit residue) is issued in min. 5 bus. days. The V-pay split gave each $284 in vaca-cash. Had they completed the "Cheetah" plan, they could have withdrawn $424 or more in V-pay. We use the term "or more" because of the travel credit residual that may be available.

Scenario 2: Two musicians choose the "Leopard" plan. They save $656 by week 13. They receive a SOUPZ email day 91, informing them to resolve their situation or face termination. They deposit $100 to satisfy the MDR. They collectively save $40 per week for the remaining 14 weeks. Their TFS came to a total of $1,216.
Details:
$1216 TFS - $18.24 (1.5% W/D) + $5 CF = $23.24 in total fees. A TFS net check of $400 is sent out in the travel package in 5 - 7 business days. They split of $400 in V-Pay, and use $792 ($656 + $136 from V-pay) in travel credits! They obtain an excellent vacation itinerary, smartly $aving within their means!

EMERGENCY WITHDRAWAL OPTION/EWO (click Terms tab)
*An emergency may occur a month or so after the MDR where you need to withdraw*
****************************************************************************************************************
CURB ACCOUNT TERMINATION (CAT)
All Prime Savers are allowed to execute the "Curb Account Termination (CAT) option by downgrading their present plan to a lower one where the MDR can be or is already completed. Four days into the final week of their current MDR, they have 72 hours to initiate the curb. So, plan A (Cheetah) can be demoted to plan B. (Eagle), or B to C, and C to D. (cost to curb suspension - $4/not from your TFS).
****************************************************************************************************************
To get a SOUPZ CAT approval to the Scenario 1 described above
($764 saved week 11)
Relegate to Plan B - Deposits must total $806 @ MDR, so $42 must be dep. in 2 weeks. You then have 13 more weeks left to save.
Relegate to Plan C - Not advised. You are $8 over the MDR, but you will have to wait 15 weeks till plan completion. But you could make it a win-win by using the extra time so save even more!
Relegate to Plan D - Not advised. $44 over the MDR, but 19 weeks before plan completes.
****************************************************************************************************************
To get a SOUPZ CAT approval for the Scenario 2*
($656 by week 12)
Your only plan available for the CAT is the "Lioness" plan;
To relegate from Plan C to Plan D - dep. must total $720 @ MDR, so $64 must be dep. in 3 weeks. This leaves you 15 weeks thereafter to deposit more towards your vacation.
*Pros and Cons*
The upside of this curb option on any plan is that you have more time to satisfy the new MDR, and extra time to save those remaining weeks if you wish. (Why not?) The downside is that you will have to wait 2 - 6 more weeks from your original plan duration when downgrading. If you have to choose the Curb, make it a win-win situation & $ave more!
Once the 72-hour window has passed for the CAT, you will have no other recourse to save your account. This is a zero-tolerance option. No excuses will be acceptable to reinstate after the option window for the CAT has expired.
TFS (travel funds saved) cannot be withdrawn before the midpoint range under any conditions. At most, your funds are reserved for "half" the time of whichever plan you choose. If you cancel at the MDR, your account will incur the penalty fees according to the Savers Plus protocols. (AT - account terminates).
Plus checks are pre-deducted and the check is included in the vacation package. Please allow 3-5 bus. days. Your package delivery may be expedited for a fee, of course.
MDR - Midpoint Deposit Req. <> CAT - Curb Acct. Termination <> CF - Check Fee
TFS- Travel Funds Saved DP - Default Penalty <> AT - Account terminates
TIR - Travel Itinerary Requirement

We decided to name these savings Tiers in analogy and order of the fastest big cats who pursue prey across the grasslands of Africa.

B. The "Jaguar" Plan (26 weeks/6.5 months) - reserve $62 per week to reap a harvest of $1612! ****************************************************************************************************************
These plans are very doable if 2 - 4 payees are participating. But it's still wise to save within your means. Choose a plan with a reachable MDR. Once you get there, each of you can lower (or raise!) your weekly saving amount. The goal is to save as much as you can. Sow wisely and reap a good harvest!
****************************************************************************************************************
All CAT-eligible plans can only be carried out if;
Plus Savers deposit up to the total of the lower Plan MDR in the remaining time it takes to reach the MDR of the new plan, and pay the downgrade fee,
-OR-
Their current deposit total equals or exceeds the MDR of the lower Plan.
All CAT approvals systematically revert you to the lower plan MDR, "displacing the previous Plan. All new plan terms/conditions are executed.
Plus plans are allowed only twice a year. And their is a 7-day waiting period between plans.
To initiate 3 consecutive plans in this division, you would have to initiate two plans in the second half of one year, and another in the first half of the next year.
"All Members" are allowed to initiate a Plus Plan along with a Core Plan each year. But Plus and Prime plans are not allowed jointly. Only 2 active plans are allowed at one time in SOUPZ. If you fail either plan while 2 are active, you will lose this benefit in the future.

My girlfriend and I live in LA and are getting married in the spring of 2026. My dad is planning the wedding and reception at his house as a gift to us. We're taking a 4-day honeymoon cruise thru the Catalina Islands.
We chose the Lioness Plan and each put in $24 weekly from the start. My dad gave us $100 each to add in (I love my dad!) We each took $250 in V-pay and put the rest ($1105) towards a very nice stateroom on the ship with all the amenities. My Dad is the best & SOUPZ is DOPE!
